UniCredit, the leading pan-European commercial bank, and Google Cloud have established a 10-year agreement focused on livening up UniCredit’s digital journey across its 13 core markets. UniCredit under this agreement will receive state-of-the-art technology from Google Cloud that will benefit its new digital platform, improved customer solutions, and operational excellence. These include AI and data analytics tools.
Under the deal, UniCredit is going to move large parts of its technology stack, including legacy systems, onto a Google Cloud secured and scalable environment. This partnership aligns with UniCredit’s digital roadmap, which has cloud architecture clinics that build resilient cloud infrastructure to drive innovation, with focus.
The use of Google Cloud’s AI tools, specifically, the Vertex AI platform, and Gemini models shall allow UniCredit to bring new financial products to the market, optimize its workflows, and improve the customer experience. The MoU also opens doors for the incorporation of other Google tools, for example the Google Maps Platform to increase interaction with the customers and enhance routines in operations.
